Today on February 18, 2009, Saavan crawled. It was, I have to say, pretty fucking (sorry!) awesome. He's been close to crawling for a while, but mostly spinning his (figurative) wheels. Before today, he had been able to swivel 360 degrees on his tummy, but couldn't make any forward progress. This evening, however, we put him on his tummy and placed the television remote about 8 inches in front of his nose, and Saavan would not be denied. He didn't motor or anything, but he was able to push off with his legs and move. Of course, after a couple of inches, he got pissed off and started crying, but he eventually made his way over to the remote. It was amazing. Another milestone reached. Dammit he's going to be in college before we know it.
Hopefully I can get some video up soon. Just gotta figure out how to upload old-school Sony camcorder tapes.
