It's the 10-Month Birthday Post!

You're asking yourself: has he ever looked more handsome? The answer? No.

Saavan is ten months old today. Hooray! To celebrate the fact that Saavan is now an old man, I let him have a bite from the banana I was eating. Unfortunately, the bite he took was a little too big. After starting to choke a bit, he forced the banana out by throwing up all over Neha. It was quite a feat. Given that Saavan was totally fine, I couldn't help but laugh. And strangely enough, covered in reguritated baby forumla, bananas, and cheerios, Neha actually smelled pretty good. Yay Saavan!

At ten months, Saavan is the Usain Bolt of crawlers, and he's in to everything. He pulls stuff off tables, climbs into the dishwasher (not when it's running), and never passes up an opportunity to hit inanimate objects as hard as he can (the computer upon which this is being typed has not been spared). He's a master stair climber. He's also quite the babbler. We think he has made most of the consonant sounds (though we're still waiting for a "z" and a "q"), although his go-to sound of choice is "da," as in "da da." This, of course, is because he loves his daddy the most.

At ten months, feeding has become a bit of an issue. Up to this point, we could feed Saavan pretty much anything (except for avocados). At ten months, however, Saavan has developed a far more discriminating palette. He eats only Puffs and Cheerios. This is problematic, because at his most recent wellness exam, Saavan was still only in the 3rd percentile for weight. He's never going to play linebacker at the University of Michigan at this rate! We have recently started him on chicken, so perhaps there is still a chance he bulks up. And of course steroids is always an option.

Ten months. It's hard to believe that we're only two months away from the big first birthday event! It's even harder to believe that it's been nearly a full year since Neha was the size of a dump truck.
